Yellow Sapphire, or Pukhraj, is the gemstone of Jupiter. In Vedic tradition it is linked with wisdom, growth, prosperity and good judgement, and it is one of the most widely recommended stones. It is a yellow corundum, valued for an even golden colour and good clarity, and is traditionally set in gold and worn on the index finger, often on a Thursday.
